Membership Rules

1)Members are required to fill out a membership application.

2)All Membership applications must be accompanied by proof of identity.

A driver’s license or photographic identification and proof of address are required.

3)All Membership applicants must provide a referee - the name and postal address of a person, preferably a member of M.U.D. who can provide you with a reference.

4)All members must adhere to the M.U.D. Membership Rules, Policies, Codes of Conduct and M.U.D. Guidelines to remain a member in good standing.

5)M.U.D. is for adults only who are open-minded, believe in freedom of expression and wish to take part in recreational SM activity. M.U.D. will not allow under 18s into the studio under any circumstances.

6)All activity in the dungeon must be conducted within the law. SM activity, which results in “marks or injuries” that are more than “transient and trifling”, is an illegal assault (actual bodily harm or grievous bodily harm). You cannot consent to being assaulted in such a way. All members undertake that they understand the limits of the law and will not exceed this.

7)Membership is strictly non-transferable. No one will be admitted to M.U.D. without a membership card. Members cannot bring guests. N.B. that new members must produce ID with them on their first visit to the Club.

8)M.U.D. club and its owners reserve the right to refuse membership or admittance to anyone, without giving a reason. The owners or management of M.U.D. reserve the right to remove any member who does not act in a responsible manner or, causes harm to self or others. Anyone breaking these rules will have their membership terminated immediately and will be asked to leave the premises.

9)Confidentiality and privacy must be respected at all times. M.U.D. provides a unique private environment where people can be themselves or, express aspects of themselves that they may not normally share with others outside the premises. If anyone breaches this confidentiality and privacy rule by publishing details of M.U.D. or, publishing personal details of anyone attending M.U.D. without written permission from the owners and the individuals concerned, M.U.D. will cancel the person’s membership, ban them from the venue and fine the person £1000. The Owners and management of M.U.D. reserves the right to sue individuals or organisations that breach this rule, for serious damages.

10)M.U.D. has a zero tolerance for illegal substances and activities. We do not tolerate dealers or drugs being taken on the premises so, please don’t compromise your fellow members and us. If we find anyone taking or dealing drugs they will be evicted from M.U.D. and drugs in their possession, will be confiscated and given to the Police. Any member who does not adhere to this policy will be barred and their membership will be revoked.

11)M.U.D. reserves the right to search bags on entry/exit to/from the club for your own safety and protection. All large bags and coats must be deposited with the Dungeon Master. If you have valuables you wish to leave with us please, ask a member of the management team and they will arrange for these to be put in the safe.

12)Each member will be held responsible for any damage to the facility, resulting from his or her activity within the premises. Any fines, penalties or legal fees levied against M.U.D., as a result of a member’s activity, will be paid for by that member.

13)M.U.D. will not be held responsible for any loss or injury sustained by any club member whilst on the premises.

14)M.U.D. ensures it acts in compliance with the data protection act (1988), in regards to all-personal data kept of its members. And ensures your personal details will not be passed on for further use by a third party.

15)We do not serve alcohol or provide food. You may however bring your own should you wish.

16)The premises are situated in a quiet area. You are asked to arrive and depart in a suitably restrained manner. Failure to observe this request may lead to membership being revoked.

17)M.U.D. reserves the right to change the Terms & Conditions or, membership at any time. M.U.D. will, wherever possible, let members know at least 24 hours in advance of changes made.
